Alagna – A pearl in Piemonte

Alagna is located in the valley of Valsesia, in the middle of the impressive Monte Rosa-massif. With peaks over 4 500 meters, there are rides with a fall height of 2 000 meters, and fantastic possibilities to off-piste and helicopter skiing. Summertime tempts with mountain climbing, rafting and mountain biking.

Alagna is a true alpine village which was founded in the 13th century. Small cobblestone streets, a peaceful atmosphere and a few, but very good, restaurants and bars gives the village its characteristic charm.

In the middle of the 19th century, mountain climbing and hiking became popular, and today there's everything from advanced alpinism to hiking on endless trails with stunning views over the peaks of Monterosa.
